30/08/09 Russian Villa

The few rotting Villas left in Magdeburg Germany belonged to the russian army officers who lived in East Germany (GDR) before they were kicked out. I just looked around in this Villa and became very interested in the history of them. My investigation brought back all the memories of the German Reunification and I was thinking what it was like for the Russians to be kicked out for good.

Locals (who actually watched me the whole time I was checking out the Villa) told me that the Russians removed everything they could from the Villas: Water taps, tiles, toilets, sinks. Everything they could carry was taken back to Russia.

But they forgot the newspaper "Prawda" from the 13th of April 1989 that I found in the rubble.
